Hands-on Cooking Classes in Savannah, GA

Hired to start 700 Kitchen Cooking School at the Mansion on Forsyth Park, I developed the hands-on approach for classes and garnered widespread acclaim on TripAdvisor.  In December 2013 I left 700 Kitchen to design and open my own cooking school with hands-on cooking classes in Savannah, GA.  Located in the Starland District of Savannah, just a short distance from my previous teaching location at the Mansion.

Chef Darin’s Kitchen Table has been designed with maximum hands-on opportunity in mind.  Our teaching kitchen features five KitchenAid dual-fuel ranges, double wall-ovens, and a 55″ overhead monitor with remote control camera so that wherever you may be cooking you’ll be able to follow along at the chef’s station!

The best part of all comes at the end of the slicing, dicing, tossing, and sauteeing when you get to sit down to eat your culinary handiwork!

Cooking Classes in Savannah

Sign up for a class that is already scheduled, OR we may be able work around your availability and set up a class for a mutually agreeable day and time.

Cancellation Policy for Open Enrollment Classes:  Guest cancellations made up to 8 days in advance will be refunded the ticket price paid.  Booking fees are non-refundable.  Guest cancellations made 7 days or less are non-refundable.  In the rare event that we need to cancel a class, the full amount paid (ticket price and booking fee) will be refunded.

    love the Cheddar & Chive Biscuits. In the ingredients it calls for 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. In the directions there is no mention of baking soda. I put it in with the flour, salt, pepper and dry ranch dressing.

    My sister and I took this class on a girl’s trip to Savannah. I make meals and she makes reservations and we both had a blast!! Not only did we learn new techniques, we laughed a lot and had a great meal to boot. This is a “must do” if you are going to Savannah. We’ll be back!!

    My wife and I took two classes – Spring Brunch and Low Country Cooking. In fact having a quality cooking school available was one of the primary inducements for our trip to Savannah and the reason for selecting the Mansion as our hotel. Both the hotel and particularly the classes with Chef Darin, lived up to our expectations. The classes were fun, produced great food and provided the long lasting benefit of basic knowledge about the science of cooking. Bottom-line a terrific experience and one which we would highly recommend.

    My husband and I will be visiting the area in the beginning of July and would love to sign up for one of the classes you offer. However, I have a gluten intolerance/ allergy. Would I still be able to attend a class? Would you be able to work around my medical issue so I could still enjoy not only the class…but all the food as well?! I look forward to your response!     Was in Chef Darin’s first Winter Brunch class, and had a blast! The kitchen is set up perfectly for teaching as well as participating, and the experience was top notch. Will definitely attend another class when I come to Savannah.
