Frequently Asked Questions

We are located one block north of Victory Drive in the Thomas Square historic district. We are approximately 1 mile south Forsyth Park and 2 1/2 miles south of River Street.
Unless otherwise noted, most classes are suited for ages 12 and up. Ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a paying adult (age 18+). 16 and up may attend on their own. All participants in a class pay the same rate, regardless of age.
We want all guests to be comfortable and to have an enjoyable, safe time. You will be on your feet and busy with preparation for most of the time during class. Comfortable attire is the order of the day. We will provide an apron for in-class use to help keep your clothes clean.

For your safety and enjoyment we do request the following:

  • Closed-toe shoes (sandals, flip-flops, and other open shoes are discouraged due tot he potential for falling knives and spilling hot liquids).
  • We kindly request that long hair be restrained.
  • For safety sake, do not wear attire with long flowing/frilly sleeves that could come into contact with open flame or get caught in appliances.
  • Please do not wear long necklaces that can dangle into food or get caught in mixers.
Just a smile and an appetite for a good time and willingness to learn! We will provide aprons for in-class use and you’ll receive recipe handouts at the conclusion of class.
In the case of hands-on classes we are pleased to offer wine for purchase by the glass or bottle, to enjoy with your meal at the conclusion of class. In order to provide the safest and best possible experience for everyone in hands-on classes, we restrict alcohol consumption to the meal portion of the class. In the case of interactive demonstration classes for private groups you may enjoy wine during the class since they are not hands-on. Unfortunately our liquor liability insurance does not permit us to allow guests to bring their own wine, beer or alcohol. Water, iced tea, and coffee are all provided for your enjoyment as well.
Class registrations can be made online by clicking the Cooking Class tab at the header of the website. Scroll down to the calendar and click on the specific date and class you’d like. The booking window will pop-up and provide a description of the class. In some cases you may need to click on “more” to read the entire menu/description. Registration is a firm commitment to attend class. Any changes must be made ONE WEEK prior to the scheduled class. Guest cancellations made 8 days or more in advance will be refunded the ticket price paid. Booking fees are non-refundable. Class registrations changed/cancelled less than 7 days from the day of class are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a class, you may send someone in your place.
Yes, free parking is available in the fenced lot behind our building. The parking lot is entered from the 42nd street side of the building. Our entrance is on the 42nd street side of the building, opposite the Chevron gas station.
Yes, but they must pay the same fee. All guests sitting in on a class need to have a paid registration.
Health department requirements state that only guests participating in the class may eat the food prepared during class. We cannot allow outside guests to join the dining experience.
