North Meets South - A Culinary Affair

North vs. South, it’s an on-going battle, a point of discussion and matter of debate.  Sure there are many differences between the regions, the people, lifestyle, and food.  One thing that is similar, is an appreciation for the regional foods from each area.

Coming up on Saturday January 18th, 2014 will be a celebration, a “culinary affair” of the two regions and their respective cuisines.  I will be joined by Chef Alain Bosse (aka “The Kilted Chef“) who will be escaping the icy grip of winter in Nova Scotia to head south.  We will be joining forces to conduct a 5-course cooking demonstration and dinner at the historic King & Prince Resort on Saint Simons Island, GA as a fundraiser for TALICA – the Teaching and Learning Initiative for Central America.  TALICA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding the access to basic educational material and promoting international educational partnerships that will improve the overall access to education throughout Central America.
